Insights from the Japanese Boardroom: QJCCI Fireside Chat with Melanie Brock AM
Tokyo-based Melanie Brock AM has won recognition as one of Australia's foremost specialists on Japan, currently serving as a non-executive director on the boards of leading Japanese companies including Asahi Group Holdings, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Estate and Sega Sammy Holdings, as well as serving as Chair Emeritus of the Australia & New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ) and a Senior Advisor to Bondi Partners.
On June 2, Melanie offered QJCCI members and guests, including ISHIKAWA Katsutoshi, Consul-General of Japan in Brisbane, an insightful speech into the current thinking in Japanese boardrooms, Australia-Japan ties and key issues in the relationship, in a wide-ranging "fireside chat" held at Tattersall's Club in Brisbane.
